In a blog post (http://www.balsamiq.com/blog/), the maker of Balsamiq Mockups writes about all the work he’s done this year and reflects on his accomplishments.

Reading through it, I wasn’t very impressed with his numbers when I compare them to what I know the company I work for takes in and what companies I’ve worked for in the past have earned annually. But the kicker of it all was the second to last bullet in his list:

Number of Employees: 1 – it’s still mostly just myself, with my wife Mariah donating some of her time lately to give away licenses

That just seems crazy to me. The fact that it only took one person to build, distribute, fix, sell and market a full suite of products (well … mostly just one product with several versions).
